Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) & Undergraduate Teaching Assistant (UTA) (Sep 2023 - Apr 2025)

I served as an instructor for introductory biology courses, leading one to two sections per term with 20–25 undergraduate students per section. In Fall 2023, I taught Ecology and Evolution (BIOLOGY 171), focusing on foundational biological concepts and evolutionary processes. In Fall 2024 and Winter 2025, I instructed Introductory Biology Laboratory (BIOLOGY 173), guiding students through hands-on experimentation, data analysis, and scientific communication. My responsibilities included delivering course content, facilitating discussions, mentoring students, and assessing academic performance.

AAPS Middle School Summer Challenge (Jun 2024 - Aug 2024)

As a teaching intern, I supported lead teachers in delivering English and Math instruction to incoming middle school students. I assisted in planning and facilitating lessons aligned with Michigan state standards, provided individualized academic support, and helped create an engaging, inclusive environment for diverse learners during this summer enrichment program.

I worked in secondary classrooms across Ann Arbor Public Schools as both a volunteer classroom assistant and a substitute teacher. My responsibilities included implementing teachers’ substitute lesson plans and providing instructional support to students, particularly English language learners whose primary or home languages were not English. I supported student engagement, clarified lesson content.

IB DP Biology Intern Teacher (Sep 2024 - Jun 2025)

As a student teacher, I taught International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) Biology to 11th and 12th grade students under the supervision of my mentor. I served as the lead instructor for six class periods daily, developing and delivering curriculum aligned with IB standards. My responsibilities included lesson planning, classroom instruction, assessment design, and fostering inquiry-based learning in a rigorous academic setting.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Teaching Evauationls: For each term I taught courses at the University of Michigan, I received formal instructor reports that summarized students’ feedback on both the course content, designed by the University, as well as their experiences with me as their instructor.
